Vovkushevsky Rostislav Ivanovich
(1917 - 2000)
Rostislav Ivanovich Vovkushevsky was born February 22,
1917 in Petrograd.
In 1949 Rostislav Vovkushevsky graduated from
the Repin Institute of Arts in Victor Oreshnikov workshop.
He studied of Pavel Shillingovsky, Ivan Bilibin, Konstantin Rudakov, Leonid
Ovsannikov.
Since 1949 Rostislav
Vovkushevsky has participated in Art Exhibitions.
He painted portraits, landscapes, still-lifes,
genre scenes, worked as easel and monumental painter.
His personal exhibition was in Saint-Petersburg in
1995.
Rostislav Vovkushevsky was a member of the Leningrad
Union of Artists since 1949.
In 1949-1959 Rostislav Vovkushevsky taught
painting and drawingin Higher School of Insudtrial
Art named after Vera Mukhina.
Rostislav Ivanovich Vovkushevsky died in Saint-Petersburg
in 2000.
