Frentz Rudolf Rudolfovich
(1888 - 1956)

Rudolf Rudolfovich Frentz was born July 23, 1888 in the town Marienburg, near Saint-Petersburg.
In 1918 Rudolf Frentz graduated from the Higher Art School at the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint-Petersburg.
He studied of Vasily Savinsky and Nikolai Samokish.
Since 1904
Rudolf Frentz has participated in Art Exhibitions.
He painted  battle scenes, genre and historical paintings, portraits, cityscapes, landscapes.
Master of poster and decorative painting.
Most famous as battle and animal painter.
His personal exhibitions were in Leningrad (1928, 1970) and in Saint-Petersburg (2006).
Rudolf Frentz was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1932.
In 1929-1956
Rudolf Frentz taught at the Repin Institute of Arts, where he was professor of painting (1939-1956) and a head of Battle-Painting workshop (since 1934).
In 1949-1956 he also was professor of painting in the Leningrad Higher School of Industrial Art named after Vera Mukhina.
Rudolf Rudolfovich Frentz died on December 27, 1956 in Leningrad.

Frolov Sergei Kuzmich
( 1924 - 1998)

Sergei Kuzmich Frolov was born September 26, 1924 in the village Baklanka, Vologda Province of the USSR.
In 1952 Sergei Frolov graduated from the Leningrad Higher School of Industrial Art named after Vera Mukhina, in Alexander Kazantsev workshop.
He studied of Piotr Buchkin, Alexander Lubimov, Konstantin Belokurov, Ivan Stepashkin.
Since 1952
Sergei Frolov has participated in art exhibitions.
He painted landscapes, portraits, genre scenes, worked in technic of oil painting, watercolors, and drawing.
His personal exhibitions were in Pushkin Museum-Reserve (1964),  and in Leningrad (1972, 1987).
Since 1956 Sergei Frolov was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists.
Sergei Kuzmich Frolov died in Saint Petersburg in 1998.
Paintings by Sergei FROLOV reside in State Russian Museum, in Art museums and private collections in the Russia, Japan, Finland, France, and throughout the world.

Nikolai Alexeevich Furmankov was born December 18, 1924 in the city Orel, USSR.
In 1959 Nikolai Furmankov graduated from the Repin Institute of Arts, in Boris Ioganson workshop.
He studied of Valery Pimenov, Leonid Khudiakov, Alexander Zaytsev.

Since 1952 Nikolai Furmankov has participated in Art Exhibitions.
He painted genre scenes, portraits, landscapes, sketches from the life.
Most famous for his expressive landscapes and etudes done from nature of rural Russia.
Nikolai Furmankov was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1960.
